Audio Books - Ear Candy

Gaining knowledge is one of the best parts of reading a book. The power of words can readily be seen, the way it influences one's thinking and how it enriches the vocabulary of the reader. However, most of the forms of books have changed. With the advances in technology today, books can easily be found on CDs or DVDs, online libraries, and computers. For some, this may be more convenient.
Perhaps the best feature of books found as other media are it makes the reading activity more interactive. Some people may find sitting all day in front of a book boring. In this case, they always have the choice of audio books. This form is increasingly gaining popularity as the myth about it being for the visually-challenged only is torn down.
Audio books are often narrated by famous actors and actresses. This can be a very handy activity while traveling. Furthermore, because the story of the book is already indicated on the cover of the CD, buyers are free to go to wild with their preferences and have some sweet ear candy.
Audio books can enhance the listener's language schools. Many new words, phrases, and idioms can be learned from the audio books. One convenient thing about audio books is that the listener can carry out ordinary day to day activities while "reading". They could take this everywhere they go, even help them make decisions about what to buy. Audio books can be very relaxing for those who are already stressed out in front of the computer all day.
Many online bookstores carry online books nowadays. These makes it an added convenience that normal "shoppers', or those who frequent bookstores, do not always have. Bookstores usually stash some books under other books, so the shopper cannot usually find them. In online bookstores, all one has to do is to type the title or the author's name on the "search" box. Local library has also ridden on the audio book craze. For a minimum rental fee, they can rent out audio books normally found in audiobooks.net or amazon.co.uk. Online shopping has an added feature: the more discriminative readers can download a free version of the book to help them decide to buy it.
Audio books are becoming more and more convenient to buy in this fast-paced world. What with the frequent danger of going "out of stock" in bookstores, audio books can be stored in the computer, ready to use anytime, anywhere.
